Weights of failed decoding checks
For each possible weight of the partial dodecahedron
determined by the failed decoding checks we can
distinguish which patterns need to be examined
Weight 1
- a single error in that parity check bit
Weight 2
- 2 errors in those parity check bits
Weight 3
- 3 errors in those parity check bits
Weight 4
- more than 3 errors have occurred
Weight 5
- "Parachute" with 2 holes
- "Diaper" with 1 hole
- "Bent Ring" with 1 hole
- "Cobra"
- "Islands"
- "Broken Tripod"
Weight 6
- "Parachute" with 1 hole"
- "Diaper"
- "Bent Ring"
Weight 7
- "Parachute"
- "Parachute" with 1 hole and 1 extra face
- "Diaper" with 1 extra face
- "Bent Ring" with 1 extra face
Weight 8
- "Parachute" with 1 extra face
Weight 9
- "Parachute" with 2 extra faces
- "Tropics" with 1 hole
- "Cage"
- "Deep Bowl"
Weight 10
Weight 11
- "Tropics" with 1 extra face
Weight 12
- more than 3 errors have occurred
